Our company was founded and began operating in Nicosia as a Research office in 1989. It continues to operate under the law (125/1 of 2007). It's founder, Angelos Ouloupis, is a Detective, Security Consultant, and Certified Trainer.
It was officially named Avantes Detective & Security Co LTD in 1991. The name is derived from Avantida (Αβαντίδα), the ancient name of present-day Euboea (Εύβοιας).
In 1992, we opened a second office in Limassol and established a special team for high-level missions in Cyprus & abroad. In 1998, we became a member of the largest Investigation Organization, W.A.D.
Pioneering, we introduced the first electronic counter-surveillance devices in Cyprus, equipping our service with special operators for detection of bugging systems in offices, phones, fax, cars, and more.
In 2008, we expanded to New York. The continuous training of our staff in new technologies allows us to offer top-tier services.
We successfully handled, along with our special team S.T.B (4 members), the escort of a ship for the delivery of 75 illegal immigrants to the government of Libya in Tripoli. We have designed, organized, and executed more than 13 missions related to child kidnappings, missing persons, money & gold transportation, and escort & protection of business-people in Cyprus, Lebanon, Syria, Romania, Italy, Greece, Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Malta, France, United Kingdom, Russia, Morocco, and other countries.
We have conducted numerous studies on security matters and tests using Counter-Surveillance devices in organizations, Private Companies, Government Buildings, Ministries, Courtrooms, Central Bank, and other Banks. We have provided services and discovered many instances of electronic surveillance in various locations, offices, phones, and fax. We have consulted abroad on the creation of a secure room to prevent potential electronic surveillance. We have also provided Security Services to Companies, Schools, Universities, Municipalities, and undertaken the protection of Envoys from Arab countries, Politicians, and the former President of the United States, among others. In 2011, we introduced the CPS (Closed Patrol Services), an innovative security system, which was approved by Military & the Police of Cyprus and was sold to foreign countries.
